About Villa Du Bah

Villa Du Bah is a vacation compound made up of four pavilions showcasing traditional Balinese architecture as exhibited by the classic Joglo style roofs. Interiors mix masterfully crafted weathered wood appointments with comfortable contemporary furnishings. While amenities are the most modern – promoting total ease and indulgence for every guest. The predominant wood motif and warm color scheme throughout the villa are enhanced by touches of tribal pieces and avant-garde artworks. Design elements which seem to complement the surrounding rice terraces of Kerobokan – all giving Villa Du Bah a truly rustic, laid back and exotic feel.

Outdoor And Pool Area

Laid out at the middle of the compound’s pavilions is the 10-meter swimming pool. Wade into its refreshing, crystal-clear waters for a soothing dip or for some splashy play. For some sun, stretch out on the cushioned, wide wooden day bed under the trees. Or, you can opt to recline on the cushioned, wooden pool beds under the shade of the main pavilion’s covered terrace.

The Living Area

Indoors, at one side of the breezy, semi-open, compact and high-ceilinged main pavilion, is the living area. Around its hefty couch and cushioned, wooden chairs you can all hang out to catch your must-not-miss TV show. Or, to watch, once again, your all-time favorite film. Under a tall wooden arch at the center of this pavilion is the dining area with its wide wooden table that can comfortably seat eight. Here, you can get a taste of authentic local cuisine – as well as international staples – freshly cooked by the in-house chef at the fully-equipped, modern kitchen section at the other side of this main pavilion.

The Bedrooms

The villa has three bedrooms -- each in an exclusive pavilion out on the garden’s well-kept lawn. All these bedrooms have queen-sized beds and dedicated bathrooms with rain showers. All these bedrooms also have direct access to the swimming pool.

Staff And Services

On duty to deliver the villa’s daily services is a staff led by a manager supported by a housekeeper, a gardener and a security team. Aside from the chef, a babysitter, a driver, a laundry helper and a spa therapist may be called in upon your request. However, their services come with a separate charge. A scooter and a car are also available for rent.

Truly Lovely Villa

We had a lovely welcome by Citra who had been waiting patiently for us to arrive (traffic from airport was terrible). The villa was truly lovely - comprising 4 separate units, 3 bedrooms and the main living, dining, kitchen area. The design is a mix of rustic chic, with contemporary elements. Care had clearly been taken in the design, keeping it simple, light and easy to keep clean (which it was). Although the kitchen is small, it has everything you could need. We also were provided with some complimentary drinks and snacks which was a lovely surprise. The pool is lovely and provides a wonderful centrepiece to the villa, surrounded by lovely garden. I have downgraded the location slightly as it is a good walk into Seminyak and taxis are needed for days/evenings out. We knew this before we arrived as we know the location well. We wanted to be near friends staying in a friend's villa nearby where we have been enjoying the locality for nearly 20 years. The upside of the location is that you are in a more 'local' and less touristy area, amongst the green paddy fields and surrounded by roads full of artisans' shops. Take a walk if you are interested in buying crafts or furniture. We have stayed in many villas in Bali and this was one of the nicest, with lovely friendly staff to top it off!
